In addition to building the Cinamon cinema, Tasku Keskus also commissioned us to renovate the Apollo bookstore. We were entrusted with transforming the existing space into a versatile experience space that would include a pop-up area, café and entertainment areas in addition to books.

The project focused on a conceptual change: a transition from retail spaces to spaces offering experiences. Versatile innovations were implemented to create different suitable “worlds of their own” in different zones – a peaceful reading area, a dynamic play area and a functional café zone.

The opening of the Tartu Apollo Cinema also received the Silver Egg Award (Hõbemuna) in 2025.

Challenge: Creating functionally very different areas (café, bookstore, entertainment areas) in one space, while maintaining the smooth operation of the center.
